What makes Lockngo protection so powerful?
Quick answer: Lockngo handles the data that is stored in the removable media in a way that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to retrieve even by using hacker's low level raw reading utilities - it is that simple!
Detailed answer: to better understand the solution that Lockngo Professional offers you should first understand of inappropriate data protection.
Data protection is a function of both deletion and encryption:
Deleting data does not necessarily remove the information from your removable media. Generally, all that is deleted is the pointer to the file. Because only the pointer is deleted, files can be “undeleted” if they do not get written over. This means that deleting the data from the removable drive is not enough since anyone with a undelete utility or low level raw data readers can simple read your "deleted" data and retrieve it.
In order to encrypt your original data, your data is read, encrypted and then replaced. This means that your original file is deleted and replaced by an encrypted version of the same file. Therefore the deleted original can be retrieved as explained above. This means that encryption alone is not truly safe.
In order to protect your data, not only must the data be encrypted, but the original un-encrypted data must be physically deleted by writing random information (for example: zeros) on top of it to make sure no one can ever retrieve it. This is exactly what Lockngo Professional does.
